Let's take up the challenge and pray and act in response to this:

I love God with all my heart. He is faithful, loving and powerful. But the Global Atheist Convention is coming to Melbourne in less than two weeks and they intend to make a mockery of our God. I don't know about you, but I'm not OK with this!
There comes a point when something has to be done and it needs to be done loud!
Two men I know are making a public and loud stand - Pastor Dennis Prince and comedian Ben Price.

Ps Dennis Prince (my dad) has produced a Christian newspaper (The Regal Standard) in response to the Atheist Convention, to glorify God and make him known. So far it has sold 75,000 copies. Churches everywhere have been distributing it. An article was written about it in the Age Newspaper and he has been interviewed by Derryn Hinch on radio. Even the Global Atheist Convention have put it on their blog, albeit to ridicule it.

And here I butt in...
Twelve days ago the Lord stirred my heart to put on an event in response to the Global Atheist Convention. Now I'm a mum with five kids aged 1-9 and two have special needs. So how could this be possible? But God's favour has been absolute. He has provided the people and He has opened the doors. He's been preparing this for a long time!

Ben Price, Australia's best impersonator caught the vision, as God had already been stirring his heart to be bold and unashamed in expressing his faith. This is so ironic! The city is in the middle of a comedy festival, and the atheist convention will also have its own comedians mocking us Christians. But our God chooses a comedian to boldly declare the reality of God by way of his own unashamed testimony.
And there will be more testimonies. We have an ex-Marxist/Atheist who is now the pastor of a large and vibrant church in Melbourne. We also have an ex-drug runner for a renowned Australian drug lord who is helping co-ordinate a large part of this event. And we have "Compliments of Gus" performing, one of Australia's premier Christian bands.

And all this is happening on Sunday 15th April at 7:30pm at Federation Square (the Main Stage). On the last day of the Global Atheist Convention, in the heart of the city.  But it's even BIGGER than this! We want to send a HUGE message to the people of Melbourne. We want to respond en-masse with one loud voice. Because it's not just Ben Price and friends that can say "I know God is real because He has changed my life", but it is ALL of us. We all have a story to tell.
And so I'm boldly asking every man, woman and child from every church and denomination to come to Federation Square on Sunday 15th April. Come wearing a white T-shirt (or top) and bring your glow sticks. We will also have a limited number of printed T-shirts with the words "ASK ME MY STORY". Our message to the media is that there are thousands of us with a unique story to tell. Our testimonies are evidence that there is a God, because He has changed our lives.

Many churches and individuals are already responding with great excitement and readiness. Last week Southern Lights Church from Skye announced they were cancelling their night service and guest speaker to join us and assist with co-ordination. Will you also stand with us?
